Podcasts seem to have completely blown up this year, and I am utterly obsessed. I listen to them whilst working, cleaning the house or commuting. They have completely taken over listening to music so I thought I would share the 5 that got me started.
First up is a blogging favourite that I have previously mentioned in a blog post. This is Keeping It Candid, hosted by Sophie Milner and Millie Cotton. This is a weekly pop culture podcast and discusses current topics, from Love Island to Instagram features. They also have episodes that feature other ‘influencers’ whilst occasionally answering blog questions and discussing the blogging world. This podcast makes me feel like I am talking to two friends and it is always relatable. They normally post on a weekly basis but are currently on a break until September.
As someone who loves true crime stories, The Vanished was the first podcast I listened to. It covers stories of missing people, there is a range of cases, from children to adults to cases from the 70s to more recent cases. Marissa does an amazing job of telling the story alongside a friend or family member of the missing person. She updates if a case becomes solved and in general helps to bring attention to cases that haven’t received it.
The other true crime podcast I am listening to is My Favourite Murder. This one I have recently discovered and I am currently binging it. This is a long one, episodes are usually about an hour if not more. The first maybe 20 minutes is Georgia and Karen talking about their day/week and then they start talking about the crimes. It is really chatty and not 100% accurate/specific but I do really enjoy it. There are also mini episodes discussing emails people send in about murders that have happened in their hometown. This one won’t be for everyone but it’s something I’m enjoying.
Moving on to a light-hearted podcast, George Ezra and friends is a really cheery listen. George Ezra is one of my favourite artists, I have seen him a few times live and his voice is unreal. In this podcast, he interviews other artists. There are 12 episodes with guests from Lily Allen to Ed Sheeran and Elton John. Simply put this is just a nice background noise and doesn’t need your full attention.
The final podcast is a fairly new one, this is Couple’s Therapy with Candice and Casey. Casey Neistat is one of my favourite YouTuber’s so when he announced his podcast I listened straight away. This, however, involves his wife Candice and it discusses different aspects of relationships. They are both so open about different issues and struggles they each have such as travelling, being apart and just how they learned to live together. At the end of the podcast, they take questions from listeners and give advice. I have found this a great listen and it really is nice listening to people be so open and honest.
What podcasts do you listen to? Let me know in the comments!

I used to listen to podcasts when I went for my runs but stopped taking something with me to listen on and kinda fell out of the habit of listening to them at the same time. I need to start again because there seems to be so many great ones around right now. Really need to listen to Keeping it Candid x

They’re so interesting, it lets you hear more about cases that didn’t get media attention or happened before you were born!

I only listen to the Daily by the New York Times on Spotify. I dont really have the easiest time choosing what kind of podcast to listen to. Sometimes I start one and hate it, or find it boring. Finding podcast is something I’m working on to have time to relax a bit
