Autumn is not my favourite season. I hate the darker evenings, the cold weather and the fact it just rains in Scotland from now until May.  However, there are still aspects that I like about Autumn. So I thought I would list 10 things.

1.Cosy Nights In

Days where it is raining and I don’t need to leave the house are my favourite. I’m going to do a whole post about my ultimate cosy night in but there is nothing better than being wrapped in a blanket with your favourite food and drink and watching a movie.

2.Bonfire night

This one I don’t always class as Autumn as November can be very wintery but I love bonfire night. I love getting all cosy and going to watch the fireworks. I usually like to sit somewhere quieter in the car rather than be out in the cold in amongst the crowds.

3.The Cinema

Over summer we don’t really go to the cinema that often. It’s usually too nice and I hate wasting the warm weather and lovely nights in a dark room. However, Autumn is perfect for it. The weather is cold and rainy and there really isn’t much else to do. This month I want to go see A Simple Favor, Venom and Halloween.

4.Autumn Clothing

This year I have finally updated my Autumn/Winter Wardrobe. I’m excited to share what I’ve purchased on my blog over the next few weeks. There’s nothing better than fresh cosy jumpers.

5.Candles

I love a good scented candle. Mostly I purchase mine from Tesco as it’s nice scents but still cheap. Prices start from £1 and they are honestly some of the best scents. Candles are a must have for me in the colder months as they just add to the cosiness of the room and help me relax whilst doing coursework.

6.Hot Drinks

Over summer I am totally an iced coffee person. However, come September it’s time for a hot chocolate with marshmallows. Surprisingly I don’t like pumpkin spice lattes but the vanilla hot chocolate from Starbucks is a firm favourite for me.

7.TV Shows Returning

One of my favourite parts of Autumn is my favourite TV shows returning. Criminal Minds and Grey’s Anatomy return in October and I am so excited. Especially for Criminal Minds as season 13 ended on a cliffhanger.

8.New Stationery

Autumn means going back to uni and that’s always an excuse for new stationery. I have purchased the cutest blog notebook from Tesco and a new planner for uni. There’s just something so satisfying about new notebooks.

9.Pyjamas

I love pulling out my favourite thick wintery pyjamas. They’re so soft and fluffy and the minute I arrive home from work or uni I will be in my pyjamas on the couch under a big blanket.

9.Cosy Nights In

Days where it is raining and I don’t need to leave the house are my favourite. I’m going to do a whole post about my ultimate cosy night in but there is nothing better than being wrapped in a blanket with your favourite food and drink and watching a movie.

10.Halloween

I haven’t always been the biggest fan of Halloween. I’m scared of masks, and people dressed up as characters – think Mickey Mouse in Disneyland. I did, however, go out for Halloween last year and enjoyed myself. I do love the sweeties and candy apples that are released at this time of year.

I am a 20 year old Marketing Student living away from home for the first time. I will be using this blog to talk about how I've found moving out/away, university and just different interests.
