This year one of my goals was to read more. I love reading but forcing myself to make time for it doesn’t always happen. So here is my current to be read list.
Zoe Sugg – Cordially Invited
This is more of a coffee table book, one that I will pick up now and again but won’t read from cover to cover. It is a ‘guide to hosting any occasion and making a memory out of every day’. The book is split into seasons and is filled with recipes, to-do lists and different ideas for each one. I am so impressed with this book and I know I’m going to be reaching for some of the recipe’s very soon.
Scarlett Curtis – Feminists Don’t Wear Pink and other lies.
This book ended up all over twitter the other day due to the backlash Topshop caused. I am so excited to read this book as it includes multiple women discussing Feminism. It is split into sections such as Epiphany, Anger, Joy, Poetry, Action and Education. 10% of the RRP also goes to the girlUp charity.
Heather Morris – The Tattooist of Auschwitz
I think this book is going to be a tough read. This is based on the true story of Lale Sokolov. In 1942 he arrived in Auschwitz-Birkenau and he was given the job of tattooing prisoners. One of whom he fell in love with.
I know once I begin reading this I am going to struggle to put it down.
Dr Richard Shepherd – Unnatural Causes
This book is not going to be to everyone’s taste but it does really interest me. This has been written by a top forensic pathologist who has performed 23,000 post-mortems. It covers natural disasters to murders and freak accidents. This is probably going to be a tough read but some of his evidence has helped convict people and also freed people that were innocent.
Have you read any of these books or are you planning to read them? Let me know in the comments!
