For the past few weeks, I have been testing the Revolution conceal and define foundation. I have seen some very mixed reviews about this one. Some people love it and some people hate it. The majority that seems to dislike it have dry skin, however, I know the concealer works for me and I needed to purchase a new foundation for work so I decided to give it a go.
The packaging for this foundation is very similar to the concealer. It has a doe foot applicator and is rose gold although the foundation is in a frosted glass bottle. I purchased the same shade as what I have in concealer which is F3.
For a primer, I used my everyday moisturiser Clinique dramatically different. This works well with the foundation.
For applying this foundation I just put one application on each area of my face. I then used a beauty blender. Normally I apply my foundation with just my hands but I don’t find that this one blends the same without the beauty blender.
For the majority of my face, this was a flawless finish. However, it clung to my problem areas highlighting where I have dry skin.
This was fixed by exfoliating beforehand. Something that I don’t like to do every day as it can make my dry skin even worse. As this foundation is only for wearing to work and not on nights out or for every day I am impressed.
Overall I think this foundation is really good for the price and I have managed to make it work for me. However, if you have dry skin and are looking for an everyday foundation I don’t think this is the one for you.
