Today’s blogmas post is in collaboration with Sophie. We have decided to do a Christmas bake-off style post. I love all of Sophie’s recipes so I think this will be really interesting! You can check her post out here!

I’m not going to lie I have totally made these cupcakes from a box kit. Nick is gluten-free and I find it really difficult to bake with so I’m going to be focusing on the decoration of the cupcakes rather than the actual baking.

Today we have snowmen cupcakes. I found this on Pinterest and decided to give it a go. This was really simple to do but I think they look really fun.

I made white icing and covered the cupcakes with it. Whilst that was drying I took a white marshmallow and put the icing on them to make little faces. I should have rolled out orange fondant for the carrot nose rather than gel as the gel melted but I still think it looks okay.

I then stuck this on before the icing had fully dried. Once it had dried I then took the same gel icing and dotted little buttons down and created some arms.

And that was all there was too it. These aren’t perfect the first time around but I definitely think they look fun and Christmassy.

  1. Love these – they are so cute! I haven’t seen cakes like this before 🙂 They look quite quick and easy to do, would be some fun baking! I’m not the biggest fan of marshmallows myself, but my sister and boyfriend sure do love them!
