Christmas never used to be too big a day in my family. We used to always go abroad for Christmas but since I’ve moved out how we spend Christmas has changed.

This year is actually the first year I’m not working on Christmas Eve and I’m so excited to just relax and enjoy it.

Since moving out I have a few new Christmas Eve traditions.

The newest Christmas Eve tradition is now the drive home for the holidays. I build up a playlist of Christmas music I love and we pack up the car and set off. This journey gets me so excited. Usually, I haven’t seen my family in over a month and I just cannot wait to get home.

The next thing I do on Christmas Eve is read this book. It’s a children’s book but my Gran & Granda had it personalised and it’s just really nostalgic for me.

My favourite tradition is watching the Polar Express. It’s my favourite Christmas movie but I don’t watch it before Christmas Eve. It just gets me in such a Christmassy mood.

And that is all my Christmas Eve traditions

What are your traditions? Let me know in the comments!
