I don’t normally do monthly posts but March has been such a busy month both physically and emotionally. It’s why I’ve been a bit quiet on the blog and on social media.

This has been the best month of the year and if the year continues like this it’s going to be a pretty good one.

New Job

First up is my new job. At the beginning of February, I found out I was going to be made redundant come May. So I decided to jump ship as soon as I could and got myself a new job which I started on March 1st. This has actually worked out well for me as I now have weekends off and can go visit friends and family. I haven’t had weekends since I moved to Dundee and it has made such a difference to my mental health.

Having weekends off is what lead to the next few things happening.

On March 10th Nick proposed to me. This wasn’t too big a shock as I knew he had a ring but I am so excited to become a wifey. We spent the following weekend celebrating with friends and family and have spent the rest of the month in a little happy bubble about what’s to come.

Visiting a Wedding Venue

Since we are now engaged I have started looking at wedding venues. We aren’t planning on getting married for a few years however things are already beginning to fill up for 2022! Weddings can also be crazy expensive so we are just trying to work out what we want from the day and what sort of interiors we like. We visited a lovely venue near us the other day and not to get over excited it was stunning. We’re going to view a few more but it now this is firmly on our list.

We visited one of the Argyll Holiday lodges last weekend near Oban and it took me until Wednesday to feel fully recovered. We booked a hot tub lodge with friends and spent the weekend drinking, playing cards and spending far too much time in the hot tub. I love these weekends as you completely switch off from the outside world. Every time I come away from the lodge I just want to book it all over again. I have no pictures from this weekend as I really did switch off.

As I am writing this I am currently at a little cottage in Aberfeldy with Nick’s family. I am so happy that we are spending the start of our Spring break away from the world all over again and it is lovely to spend time with everyone.

It’s been a very busy month but having had a quiet January and February it’s been so much fun.

What have you been up to this month? Let me know in the comments!
