This is going to be a little update from both August and September. August wasn’t too busy and neither was September so I thought it was best to combine them for this lil update post.

August

Innis and Gunn Brewery Taproom

August began with a little trip to Innis and Gunn Brewery Taproom in Dundee. This was a press event as they had refurbished. This is such a nice venue, there were good tunes and great drinks! I have actually been back since and played some shuffleboard too. I have yet to try the food but when I was last there it smelled so good so I’m going to be heading back to try it out very soon.

I then jumped back into full-time work before heading on a two week holiday to one of my favourite places.

Fuerteventura

This is my yearly family holiday abroad. Since moving away from home, I’m so grateful for these holidays as it means I can spend some proper time with my family. This year Nick came along too and we explored a good bit of the island, even taking my brother with us to explore an abandoned holiday resort. It was such a nice chilled holiday spent getting a tan, eating good food and playing pool or cards every night.

Family Visits

And as if we hadn’t spent enough time together on holiday, my brother decided to come and stay with us for a few days. We visited Wee Slice in Dundee and went shopping together, he visited the Arbroath Cliffs with Nick whilst I was at work and we binge-watched 13 reasons why together.  Overall a 10/10 visit and I actually really love that we get on so well.

September

The first week of September was spent decluttering the flat and getting organised for going back to university. I was basically just trying to get busy so that I didn’t have time to get nervous for uni.

Uni

In the second week of September, I headed back to university. I am so happy that I am back at uni and in a routine again. The lecturer is amazing, she put everyone at ease the first week and we are working with a really exciting client. I am feeling so much more motivated about the subject this year which is such a nice feeling. Let’s just hope the group work goes well…

Days Out

Nick and I went for a day out to Camperdown park in Dundee, I wanted to learn how to work my camera and Nick was excited to teach me. We shot some Instagram content and photos for upcoming blogs. After this, we then headed to St Andrews for a wander and to watch the sunset.

  3. The last month’s have been alive for me with family visits, opportunities to cook for groups of amazing people a state away from home, and smile daily from behind plates of food. We think we lead quiet lives but really so much is happening!
