Bikini shopping is something I always dread. No matter how body confident you are the wrong bikini can make you feel crap. And this year is no different.<\/p>\n

The current trend seems to be thongs or extremely high legged bottoms, something I’m not a fan of and wouldn’t dream of wearing on a family holiday. For the last few years, I have just gone to Primark to buy some new bikinis but they never last long, I usually have to refresh them each year. It’s also a bit of a struggle because like most high street shops they sell bikinis tops in clothing sizes rather than bra sizing.<\/p>\n

On a student budget bikinis aren’t something I would invest in, I really am quite lucky to go on holiday at all so I was really excited when I got to pick one from\u00a0Hunkemoller<\/a>.<\/p>\n

My chosen bikini arrived beautifully packaged in tissue paper and a pink and white striped box. The packaging made it feel like a little present from me to me. I opted for the Leo Padded Underwired Bikini Top<\/a>\u00a0and the matching High bottoms<\/a>. The quality of this feels so good and I have no doubt that it is going to last me a good while. All the bikini tops on the website are in bra sizes, giving you a really nice fit. The bikini bottoms are also true to size and really comfortable.<\/p>\n

I felt so confident in this bikini, so much so that all these photos were taken on a beach in Dundee when it was 10 degrees.\u00a0You can actually see my clothes in the sand on some of the photos.<\/em>\u00a0I had no issues prancing around getting photos taken as I just felt so good. I’m not the biggest fan of wired bras but the padded underwired bikini top is really comfortable and the high bikini bottoms hid any slight insecurities I had. There is also a guide on the website to inspire you for what bikini you could wear for your body shape. Obviously, you would pick something you are most comfortable in but I really did like this part of the website.<\/p>\n

There is such a wide variety of different shapes and you can mix and match to get your ideal bikini. They have so many cute patterns and shapes, I really struggled to pick between them all. Although \u00a347 is a bit pricey for being on a student budget, I wouldn’t hesitate to invest in one or two more from\u00a0Hunkemoller<\/a> for going on holiday.<\/p>\n
