This is my 3rd year bullet journalling and I absolutely love it. I’m not the most artistic person but I love taking the time to plan out my own diary for the year.
Every month I watch Amanda Rach Lee’s videos to get inspiration for my monthly spreads. She also has great videos for anyone that is just starting out with a bullet journal.
Last year I used the Leuchtturm 1917 dotted A5 notebook but this year I opted for a Papier notebook. This was literally just for the outside design as I was bored of just a plain notebook. I really love the quality of my Papier book and think it’s cute that you can personalise it. It is a little pricey but if you use my referral link you can get £15 off! This is an affiliate link so I will get £15 store credit but if you buy one you’ll get your own referral link.
Before starting my bullet journal I make a list of pages that I used a lot the previous year and want to include in my new bullet journal. If you are just starting out, watch and read other people’s set-up and see what you think you would like to include.
The first page I always start with is a calendar layout. This is so time-consuming but I find it really beneficial to be able to overlook the whole year really easily. This page should definitely be written out in pencil first as I always make mistakes.
The next page is my goals for the year. I like having this as one of the first pages I see so that I am reminded of what I am hoping to achieve for the year. I also like that I can tick them off when I complete them and see myself achieving throughout the year.
After this is a double spread of places I want to visit and places I’ve been to. The places I’ve been include little day trips that I might forget I’ve done as the year continues.
The next spread is books and movies. These are split into what I want to read/watch and what I’ve read/watched. It’s a great way to keep track of my TBR and the movies I want to see this year.
The next double spread is a growth tracker for my blog and social media. I write down my following counts once a month and I find it such a nice way to reflect at the end of the year.
And before my monthly spread, I have my blog ideas page. I find that it’s easier to have my ideas here for planning each month as sometimes I have ideas that don’t fit that month.
And that is my basic set-up for 2020. It’s pretty similar to 2019 as I liked most of the pages and it was pretty simple.
Do you bullet journal? Is there anything I’m missing from my set-up? Let me know in the comments!

Love the idea for your growth tracker! I did start a spreadsheet but I never remember to update it, so it will probably serve me better in my journal 🙂
