This year is the year that I want to travel more. As a student, I haven’t got the biggest budget for travelling and before this month I worked every weekend. Now that I have a better job and I don’t work weekends here are the places I am travelling to this year!
Iceland
This is my biggest priority. This was part of my Christmas present from Nick and we have now booked our accommodation. I am so excited about this holiday, I have wanted to visit Iceland for a while now and we are planning to go all out. This is going to be a week-long trip and we have a lot of activities planned during this week.
Whale watching is really high on my Iceland to-do list and whilst I also want to go to the blue lagoon, I really want to see the less touristy parts of the country.
Oban
We have booked a little hot tub lodge with friends and family for a weekend away this month. This has been booked at such a perfect time as there are a few things to celebrate.
This is such a perfect little trip for just spending time with friends and completely switching off from the outside world. I absolutely love our wee holidays like this and really hope we can make it happen more often.
Fuerteventura
This is my family holiday, we visit almost every year and have done since I was 3. It’s like a home away from home and the minute I step off the plane I instantly relax. I’m hoping that we can book this in summer with my family. It’s one of my favourite places ever and Nick has never visited.
Paris
This is a complete longshot but I am hoping if I budget properly I can afford to go on a weekend trip to Paris later in the year with my bestie. I have only ever been to Paris on a school trip and I want to go again to properly explore the city. I also really want to go to Disneyland so I am hoping that this little trip can happen.
Where are you hoping to visit in 2019? Let me know in the comments!

Great post 😁

That’s great. Iceland is also on my list but probably won’t make it this year. Hope you manage to follow your plans. Let me know how it goes.

What a great list! I’d love to travel by myself this year. I’ve never travelled alone before but I actually made it one of my resolutions for this year. I really want to go to Japan. It’s been on my bucket list for the longest time. Paris sounds so dreamy. I’d definitely love to visit one day.
Oban is absolutely stunning. One of my favourite places 😁 the fresh air and the lichen on the trees
Yess to Paris! I went there for a whole day a few years ago and loved it! It was my first ever solo trip, it’s a very cute city I find with a lot of pretty-looking attractions (e.g. Eiffel Tower, Jardin Des Tulleries etc.). Though the Lourve Museum can be a bit of a headache cos of how long it is. I ended up getting through a lot but you’re going for a weekend trip so I imagine you’d get around to doing a lot more than myself.
I’ve heard very good things about Iceland too. Wrap up warm there! I’m going Manchester next month, Prague for a day in May and Morocco in the summer. Hope all your getaways are great fun!

I love reading other peoples travel plans- so inspiring! Iceland and Paris are both on my travel bucket list- at the moment we have Prague and the Dominican Republic booked for 2019 but I’m hoping we can squeeze another in too!

Ooh so many exciting plans! I hope you have an amazing time in Iceland – it’s one of the places my hubby has been dying to visit but we just haven’t got the budget for it. Will you be writing posts about it? I’d love to see it if you do!
Iceland is on my bucket list too! You’ll have to review all of these wonderful places and keep us all informed 👍❤️
What a fabulous travel year you have set up! I really would love to go to Iceland soon and Paris is so dreamy, I’ve been twice and loved every second! I’m off to Sorrento in Italy in May, Switzerland in June and then New York in November, I’m so damn excited!

Eeee you will love Paris! I don’t think I have met anyone that hasn’t loved it. I’d love to visit Iceland too.
