This is a sneaker trend that is a love or hate trend and honestly, I really hated at first. I hated the colours, the chunkiness and just most of the designs.
The chunky sneaker trend has been all over Instagram. It’s filtered down from Balenciaga to the high street with Topshop realising their own style. I hated how boring these designs were, most were dull colours that just did not catch my eye.
Until the end of July when I noticed a pink pair popping up continually on my Instagram feed. I became utterly obsessed!
These are the Nike M2K Tekno’s. I missed out on this colourway on the first release but they were so popular Nike re-released them. They are now available in 4 colourways but not all sizes are available in the pink.
Since buying the shoes I have constantly been reaching for them. They are so easy to match with my wardrobe. My current favourite outfit to wear with them is my dungarees with a pink t-shirt or jumper under them.
I know they are a passing trend but I really want to add the beige colourway to my collection.
What are your thoughts on this trend? Do you love it or do you hate it? Let me know in the comments!

Thanks for sharing, I like the trend but definitely think you have to pair it with the the right outfit. What do you think works best for these shoes?
I’ve not actually seen these trainers anywhere but omg i love them they’re gorgeousss!
I have recently become obsessed with trainers when I literally never used to wear them! I live in boots, ankle boots and dolly shoes normally but trainers are just catching my eye all the time recently! š I like these ones! š

I definitely have to say that this is a 90s trend that I don’t really appreciate coming back. While I can tell they’re super comfortable, they are definitely not for me. I’m glad you found the perfect pair for you though! xxx

These look so cute! I don’t think I can get on board the dad sneaker trend, though. My wardrobe just doesn’t allow it AT ALL haha

While the trend for dad shoes is definitely declining overall, I think that it won’t die completely like some other trends. The way that they can accentuate certain outfits is still a great look for many people. Definitely love these shoes though, very nice colorway!
